Strain rate sensitivity is an important index for metals, especially at high strain rates. I am interested which microstructure factors will affect its value and what are the corresponding mechanisms. This is a general and open question. As I know, most of researchers explain the variations based on thermal activation of dislocation. But how to consider the effect of microstructure factors, for example grain size, precipitates, etc. Could anyone give your opinion or recommend some related publications?
