This discussion is to solicit viewpoints, research ideas, empirical literature, policy documents, stakeholder perspectives, etc on the "Role and contributions of the Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) across countries in achieving the UN SDGs". It is also intended to understand 'how the CSOs cooperate with the national and local governments of the respective countries in addressing the critical issues of social and environmental protection and thereby contribute to the economic growth'.

This has 40 chapters varied by country and thematic focus. The text may contribute to you building your own literature review, identifying gaps and suggesting methodological approaches.
Environmental NGOs will clearly see the SDGs as core business - and may well deploy them in both their strategic planning and operational work, but it will be interesting to check out the extent to which broader social justice and community-focused NGOs have embraced the SDGs as policy and practice drivers.
