Hi, everybody,

I'm reading literature concerning photoredox/nickel dual catalysis. And I found that despite various cross-coupling reactions have been developed, almost all of them were racemic. To the best of my knowledge, only one enantioselective example was reported by Gary A. Molander and the er was 75:25 (Science 345 (6195), 433-436.).

What make it so challenging to achieve high stereoselectivity in such kind of reactions?
