Hello. I am a Production engineer in a pharmaceutical glass manufacturing industry. We are installing a new oxyfuel furnace now a days and to meet the requirement of compressed air, we are installing a new compressor having volumetric flow rate of 33 cubic meter per min. the current air flow we are having is 15 cubic meter per min and for that we have a TSA with 12ft height and 1ft diameter of each column. Activated almuina beads are being used to remove water from compressed air with a cycle of 8 hrs in summer season. I am looking for some design calculations to size the adsorber column for new compressed air unit. Thank You
Please describe functional requirement like dew point required, operating pressure etc. of treated air in your application.
thanks for replying. The dew point required is -40 degree celcius. the inlet pressure of compressed air is 4.8-5 bar. current adsorber having (height= 12ft and dia=1ft) has a cycle time of 8 hours in summer and 12 hours in winter season.
Please give detail about TSA system whether it is internally heated, externally heated, or closed loop system.
