I’m so excited (and a little emotional) to share that I’ll be presenting at uLearn 2025 with my session: "Teaching Between Worlds: Supporting EAL Students Through a Ukrainian-Canadian Lens." As someone who’s walked the path of learning, adapting, and teaching across two very different educational systems, this session is incredibly personal to me. I’ll be sharing practical strategies and classroom-tested tools that help English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners, especially newcomers from Ukraine and beyond, feel seen, supported, and successful in today’s diverse schools. We’ll explore: ✔️ How to build belonging and trust ✔️ Ways to support multilingual learners academically and emotionally ✔️ Simple shifts to make our teaching more inclusive and responsive ✔️ Reflections from my own journey as a student and educator If you're passionate about equity, inclusion, and multilingual education, I hope you’ll join me on this learning journey. 📅 Check out the session on the uLearn schedule: 🔗 https://lnkd.in/dAkuBPav
