I want to freeze and revive an insect symbiont. I grow it in MittsuhashiMaramorosh medium supplemented with 20% bovine serum at 27 degrees. It grows only on a layer of mosquito cells.I tried freeze it in 20% glycerol+liquid nitrogen...but they died. I have to say, they are pretty sensitive. They do not like low temperatures and even shaking. Do you have any experience with freezing/reviving of such problematic bacteria? Thank you.

It is Arsenophonus triatominarum. In contrast with Arsenophonus nasoniae, it does not grow on solid agar. I nead to send it to my coleagues. They are not able to establish a culture and i nead them to have it because I nead them to perform some experiments. i can not send it in liquid culture since bacteria will not survive transportation.....
