Hi Experts,
I want to know about the reality of node mobility and its affect on ns3 simulation result.
For example i have seen many research paper where author generates a highway scenario using SUMO (like created 50 nodes using MOVE or SUMO and import mobility of nodes using tcl file)
Now then how can we say that performance metrics obtained like ( avg Delay, PDR etc) are calculated fairly, because in my opinion due nodes mobility may be 20% of nodes were within range of each other and remaining 80% were in range of each other. So these 20% and 80% of nodes are now two groups but we get overall result when simulation ends. Like if there are collisions then may be group 1 has 20 and group 2 has 60 but we get overall 80.
Then how can we compare two protocols this way ? I don't see any one explaining this in paper or maybe my understanding is wrong.
I request any one who has worked earlier using SUMO and ns3 to clarify me .
