I'm comparing two adherence diary designs to an objective measure (an accelerometer - all will measure how much participants walk each day) and I want to assess how closely each diary relates to the accelerometer, then compare the differences in validity between the diaries. I'd like to avoid correlations as I don't think it will tell me anything meaningful. I'm considering using a t-test to assess how different the mean biases are, does this sound feasible? Thanks.
