An innovative proposal, so say a new way of presenting contents or a small book with innovative ways of creating reasoning patterns: What do I need to have to prove to others, in a fully scientific way, that such a strategy will optimize mental processes in learning in general or in learning in certain areas and will still optimize the application of the learned material?
Dr. Pinheiro, How about mapping and analyzing alteration of mental models? Pre- and post-states of mental models can be investigated in various application contexts, and task related reasoning patters can be displayed on individual and team levels with this approach. Kind regards, I.H.
That sounds interesting, Prof. Imre. I am worried about figures, however. I learned at school this story of experimental design, how to plan all statistical factors, including sample size, but it was a long time ago, I haven't ever used the information in practice, and I feel really lazy to think about it at the moment. I am looking for a collaborator on top, and it could all appear like this, I reckon.

Of course, most of the things you mentioned are understandable. On the other hand, the topic that you brought up is really interesting and is worth studying. I do not know if it helps, but let me kindly call your attention to one of our papers, in which we considered specific mental models as specific indicators of cognitive change (awareness) processes, and to another one, which claims that developing theories by experimental work is not so difficult if the principles are understood.
