In term of mixing the nano powder with pure diesel without adding a surfactant . I know that i need to use two step method, however in stability test, do i need to prepare the samples in mg per litre. like 25 ppm in litre then i took few
Millilitre to obtain stability.
i am afraid it is kind of waste for the material if i do that.
and how i know that each sample i mix is right?
if there is an equations of mixing what is it?
Ali Basallem Your question is somewhat confused but you are forgiven as it's your first time. If you're starting with a powder then the 3 steps in making a stable dispersion are wetting, separation (the key step), and stabilization. What powder are you using and what is its specific surface area (SSA)? The SSA will actually tell you if your powder is nano or not (needs to be > 60 m2/g). A starting webinar is here:

If your powder does not wet (e.g. floats) in the diesel then you will need a surfactant...
