I am working with N-Benzyl substituted indazole-nucleus but I'm having many problem with the stability of the molecules. Does anyone know if the benzyl position is sensitive to something, such as light, acid or basic conditions?
Dear Kelly Bugatti , as you can see from the attached article, N-benzyl substituted indazoles can be debenzylated in the presence of oxygen under basic conditions.
Dear all, besides the reason given by Prof. Frank T. Edelmann, the following MSc thesis discuss in the first chapter the involvement of toutomerism and idomerism to its intrinsic unstability because of geometrical contraints. Details are presented in the references mentioned. My Regards
