UPDATE:

This actually occurred because of something the IT department at my institute put into place in order to prevent malicious Word documents from getting through the security.

ORIGINAL: Until today, I have been able to use the Mendeley plugin on Word 2010 to manage my citations. Now, there are a couple of weird issues making the Mendeley Cite-O-Matic non-functional. The 'insert citation' button is not present, I can no longer open Mendeley from word using the 'Open Mendeley' button (but I can open it normally outside of Word), and the 'Style' drop down menu is completely empty. See the attached image.

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU ANSWER!

I have tried the solution provided in response to a similar question about the Mendeley plug-in simply being deactivated. This solution does NOT work; as you can see from the attached screen shot, the plug-in is activated! Nor does uninstalling and reinstalling Mendeley do anything. Therefore, please do not answer if you are just going to parrot this same response which does not solve the problem. Thank you!
