My research involves the role of diversity in decision making teams. An important skill set for team leaders (especially project manager job designations) is the ability to ensure that all voices are heard in team discussions. There are a number of toxic group-dynamics phenomena (such as especially vocal participants dominating the discussion) that reduce the effectiveness of diversity to maximize team decision-making quality.
