It has been observed that on social networks especially Facebook, the posts are related to one's self-projection, which is not a positive use of these kind of sites.
Facebook, the largest social network on the planet in terms of number of users, claims to have their registrations in the registration of more than 400 million accounts access to your system . But many people have claimed that Facebook is not as safe as it should be , considering the total potential of over 400 million potential future victims , residing there , is the invasion of privacy , unauthorized marketing or even kidnapping and misuse of the account of third party access .
Interestingly, many ( including the market ) consider Facebook a young company created just a few years . But even with so little time to market , success came very quickly to this new development . And with success comes problems . Having the highest percentage of users of social networking sites , the company also becomes the target market of users , and especially of crackers , which seem to have enough to attack this social network free time , since the chances of success in their crimes is much higher if operated services to many users .
Many people use facebook for self promotion and transmits unnecessary information .
Yes. Most of the users do it. Self projection and self advertise is an instinct developed through evolution. This can be seen in most of animals during courtship and even in plants. Now, we have FB and other social networks.
Sure, it is. But I would put it rather as self promotion, through shared content, published images we could create a picture of ourself, such as we would like others to see us.
Yes agree. In todays world expression and democratizing our expression is very much necessary. People around including the prospective employers would like to know what we are upto and Social Networks are the ones best employed. And there is nothing wrong in self projection. Social Networking has much in store to offer. It depends on how we employ them.
I would say I completely agree with you due to two facts. First, the membership of social networking sites has become a necessity rather than an option. Lastly, as a result of the huge amount of social networking sites' users participation and interaction, this can be distinctly observed.
Facebook has unlimited applicationns, it depends wholly on the users how they use it...... Late coming to facebook has lots of risks.... It is a wonderful time saver and a wonderful and connector to people who matter to u.
I mostly agree with the statement. An interesting paper (Kaplan, A./Haelnein, M.: Users of the world unite!, 2010) states the same and references media research in general and social pressence theory (Short, J. et al.: The social psychology of telecommunications, 1976) in particular as possible explanations of the phenomenon.
But, however, as said before, there are still other aspects to use SNS like FB (e.g. learning, organizing, connecting etc.) which I personally observe as even relevant.
