In the context of gas-solid concurrent upward flow, what are the limits of slip velocities?
Can the slip velocity be greater than the single particle terminal velocity (the maximum attainable velocity of a free-falling particle in an infinite expanse of fluid).

Your question seems to me very intresting. However, I think you need to explain your question little bit more.
As per I understnd.... For particule conditions e.g., gas-solid and liquid-solid systems... slip velocity is less than the single particle terminal velocity, & its value reduces with increasing concentration. Slip velocity may exceeds terminal velocity where the formation of clusters is possible. You can also read Yousfi & Gau (1974) classical work.
