A friend of mine is currently working on designing a SIW based power divider. The frequency range is 27-29 GHz. The simulations show the required response in the above mentioned band but I am facing difficulties in testing the fabricated design. I have used 2.92mm connectors but due to some reasons, the results do not show the desired results and are totally unmatched to the simulated results.

It can be either due to the fabrication error but the PTH vias are checked by DMM and they are rightly filled and the connection between the top and ground plane is present.

The other reason can be the connectors or may be the soldering but after repeated tries, still the desired results are not coming.

Can anyone having the experience in the testing of Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) based components guide me in this regard as in what can be checked as I am clueless of what to do next.
