Single Phase Grid Connected Inverter

Hi everyone, now i am working in implementation of single phase grid connected inverter, I use the current control scheme as used in the attached file. however, so far i still cannot implement the algorithm both in simulation and implementation, in the simulation the output current of inverter still not showing the good sine wave, i tried to look at Vd output and Vq output it is sooo ripple

the second problem is, I use a laminated steel core from unwinding cheap transformer then I rewound it using my own laminated copper wire, the problem is the inductor goes really hot and the drop is very high, I use H bridge inverter topology with 300V dclink, and the ouput load voltage(load is 2x100W 220V light bulb) in stand alone mode cannot goes higher than 80Vrms

Does anybody has any comment and suggestion for my problem?

I would like to help you but Im trying to download your attachment and I can't. Im doing the same project right now using an H-bridge dc-dc convert to elevate the voltage of a PV system and an H-bridge Inverter to convert dc to ac. My invert is 1kw.

Hi Arief, it is better for you to simulate the system first. You can use some simulator such as PSIM etc. This kind of simulator will help you to show more in detail about your system such as transient, average current etc. Based on the simulation results you can start to design the hardware.

First questions:

I guess to synthesize the voltage in your converter you are using a pulse width modulation. It is normal that there is a current ripple. To reduce this ripple you must employ a limit frequency coil. You can calculate the coil using the next equation:

Li=UDC/(2*DeltaI_Li*fs); fs is the conmutation frequency and DeltaI_Li is the maximun current ripple.

You should make a simulation before making any implementation. I suggest you the SimPowerSystems MatLab module

Second question:

R: Overheating transformer is a consequence of the current ripple. Now you have a high frequency current flowing through the coil. If you remove this current, the overheating will be smaller.

Another possibility is that there is a DC component that is producing saturation of the core. you can discard observing waveforms with an oscilloscope..
