Neuraminidase is the surface glycoprotein of influenza virus that catalyzes the cleavage of terminal sialic acid residues to facilitate the release as well as spread and transmission of progeny virus particles from host to host.

Neuraminidase(s) are large proteins, > 600 amino acids. See the following article:
FEBS Letters, (2008), vol. 582, issue 23-24, pp 3348-52. by H.Gut, S.J. King, and M.A. Walsh. It shows an x-ray structure of a neuraminidase.
The syntesis is/will not be simple.
