count me in as well - especially for Deaf teacher training.

in France we have an interesting investigation field since the state teacher exam for LSF (French Sign Language) teachers in K-12 became an official certification in 2010. [NB in the field of language teaching (and not special education)]. LSF can also be taken as a language option in the final secondary school exams since 2008, both by Deaf and hearing students. Deaf teacher training is a young an exciting field that needs further investigation and developments...

I agree.  Recently we reviewed grades and noted in NI the failings/underachievement data in terms of students leaving school.  Further investigation needed.  I am relatively new to this field but very keen to advance knowledge capital and share research.

I am working with 15 deaf sign language student teachers.

They are undertaking a course I organise at Ulster University - training them to teach.
