This is a very unhappy situation and every surgeon fears meeting with it. 3D navigation systems are more exact, but also here screw misplacements are possible. The literature presents data far below 1%. In scoliosis surgery the misplacement is more probable because of the altered pedicle anatomy. Similar cases are rarely reported, sometimes because of the very unpleasant personal drama of surgeon and patient. What is your experience or information about similar cases ?
