Whilst Open Access is becoming important and popular for journal publication, publications at conferences, such as presentations, should also be made freely available to at least attendees who have already paid for attending the conference. This is a good way to assist flow of scientific information, I believe.

Also, it is pointless for some authors not to be happy with their presentations being copied by attendees, if they have spoken and shown their work to the conference attendees. They can select not to talk any information that is confidential or they do not wish to share.

Before the revolution of technology manual notes were taken.  Taking photos is same as raking notes. I agree with you that confedenrials nt to be shown in conferences .Me too will be glad to share my  work . Finally I think photo taking is not and should not be included  in  copy right Form for conference attendee

If presenter so unsecured about the copyright/unpublished results....so shouldn't show it on conferences....i believe taking photo and notes are good way to share scientific information.... completely agreed with Prof. George Zheng Chen

In research, all publications, presentation slides should be under open access. For this part public policy can be framed.

But photos of people / videos of lectures is a different matter as consent from the person involved is required

Why not? If it is not prohibited clearly, I do not see any problem. But no photos for persons without their consent, as pointed out by Dr. Mani.

It should be prohibited. because it may distract other listeners and the speaker too.

Instead of that they can seat at last row and take photos which will hardly disturb others. Of course, before doing so, owners consent is mandatory.

I have lost respect of so-called scientists who tend to do such uncivilized things defining them more of fools.

Unfortunately, society is full of these people. They have peculiar irresistible habit of getting up in the mid of the session and walking through the crowded seminar halls and disturbing everyone present.

I agree with you in the cases of provocative and, in general, extreme behaviors.

But, from my experience, I haven't noticed such extreme situations. Of course, conventioneers must act within certain limits, respecting their colleagues. 

I was giving my opinion on the content presented in the conference and not on the person presenting or participating. You can surely photograph them as well but with their permission otherwise it will be intrusion in their privacy.

Isn't taking a photo like digital write up? Anyhow the participants are taking notes of your presentations and may not be able to draw the model which you show. Ofcourse there is a fear of plagiarism, then why not to stop people taking notes as well? Let there be just hearing and discussing activity and no writing or clicking photos. That will protect the interest of the presenter's unpublished work as well.

Personally, I think it should depend on the speaker. It will be better to clarify any unpublished results or confidential information during the talk. I believe the audience will respect the speakers.
