Omobolaji Opafola , When you run plagiarism check for a document with the inclusion of the list of references, it automatically increases the similarity index. The contribution of Figures and Tables to the similarity index is miniscule. Figures should not have any effect but the content in your Table might contribute if it contains text.

In summary, it is advisable that you remove the list of references from the manuscript before checking for plagiarism

My submission is that to maintain a high degree of research aptitude and research outcome, with minimal duplication/copying from the world literature the figures and tables should be included in the plagiarism check. However, the list of references can be left out, as suggested by you.

I totally agree with the submission to exclude the references. This is the standard practice.

My take is that, only the reference should be excluded as it cannot be altered to minimize plagiarism and it is not worth check for plagiarized work. A table and figure can be plagiarized and hence, its inclusion to check plagiarism is very important.

Tables and Figures captions cannot be excluded from Plagiarism check.

Even you dnt need to removed references from text every time just add ti exclude references or bibliography in checkin software only.

You may upload ththe work without figures for fast upload. But it should have the Figure captions in it.

From my point of view, tables and figures are supposed to be part of the manuscript during the plagiarism detection process. However, references should be excluded from that detection.
