The space day per day is reducing and also, the clients expectations are increasing. Although great furniture and products are available in the market to help with the combinations to make the least space available the most lively and functional. But, still, it needs a through knowledge and may also need designing of some new products or furniture to make space more functional.

YES! But, you have to add one more discipline to the list of professionals. That is Sustainability Designer. This combination will bring a long lasting impact on the space, functionality and longevity in whole. Though, it is my process of iteration for the design to be successful.
Well, sustainability is an important parameter in terms of building, but not much people understand its importance, especially when it comes at a cost. People here in India, will only go for sustainability when they find some sort of profit from it, or some savings in the later part of life.
Being designer it is our responsibility to implant the factor of sustainability in the populace/community mind. Off-course sustainability will not reap fruit's instantly. But in long run it will add value to that brand or service to make a shift in the peoples thinking.
I fully agree with you that as a need of hour people will surely accept the importance of sustainability when popularized by various medias and mediums. Well, can I have your mail id as to I have something to discuss on a project I am doing recently.
