I'm a 3rd year engineering undergraduate pursuing engineering physics. I feel completely confused as I'm not able to decide what to do next. I absolutely love studying General Relativity and the concerned mathematics around it. I would say I am more inclined towards theoretical physics in general.

But money is the factor here which is causing this hesitation. I have to support my family. Going through a lot of literature online, I've realized that physics doesn't pay you well. Plus I don't want to become a professor. I'm not trying to offend anyone but here I'm sharing what I feel. I'm not able to decide what career path to choose.

When I look towards other fields of study, I always think - ' Nah, I can only understand physics, and this is the only thing I can do'. I am very ambitious, but it is what it is. I really want to serve my parents, for they have done a lot for me.
