Reading the full text of the studies I selected for my systematic review, I realized that some of them are reports from the same study. I'm going to link theme together before the data extraction.
When I'll represent the selection of studies in the PRISMA flow diagram should I exclude these reports as "duplicates" or should I consider them in the "Included studies"?
We usually keep the latest version of the same document. So, in my view, you can exclude same reports in PRISMA flow diagram.
There are duplicated participants in these reports. You can select the latest version for pooled data analysis .
Data of study may be repeated by original author in different paper as different version of paper or fraction of the study.
For systematic review, It will be considered as a duplicates if data came from same study.
Author should exclude such study data as duplicate.
