the Raman spectra for magnetically treated and untreated Natural Nano diamond produces identical graphs. but the graph for the treated ND is shifted higher up in terms of intensity
Is this a systematic observation? Have you tried on different points of the samples and averaged different spectra? My main guess is that is simply some background signal from hydrocarbons on the sample, or just different focus position. What laser did you use? And what changes in ND do you expect after the ”magnetic treatment”?
I agree with Raul. The intensity shift is possibly due to another place of sample measurement. Only the change in the intenity of the characteristic shifts of the bonds is significant. This we observed on different samples of the same tree.
Please subtract the background from the both spectra before you determine and compare the intensity. It seems that the intensity is almsot the same except the background for the upper spectrum is higher.
