I am working on isolation of quorum quenching bacteria from environmental samples using M9 minimal media containing C6-HSLs as a sole source of carbon. As glucose is a part of normal composition of M9 minimal media and is obviously a carbon source therefore, the question is that shall we add glucose too in the above described media if we want to make it selective by adding C6-HSLs as sole carbon source.
