Dear professors,

If the topic of my PhD thesis is: Effects of Metacognitive Strategy Instruction Using MALL on Receptive Skills and I have only two intact classes to conduct this study, which are a control group and an experimental group,

should I still use MALL for the control group? Cause if I didn't do that, then will that be doubted that the reason for the improvement of the students in the experimental group is MALL but not metacognive strategy instruction? If the answer is yes, then can I still emphasize much about MALL in my thesis?
