The defect in the causes of marriage and not what happens after marriage

Because marriage is a noble social project and a moral contract between spouses

Therefore, a breach of the condition of this contract will lead to failure and the destruction of the family and then society

It is a flaw in the civilized society.

Dickson, why in your research have you found that wives in Ghana don't desire to have sex with their husbands? It seems like there have to be larger social or psychological factors in play here, since under normal, all-things-being equal circumstances husbands and wives tend to enjoy sex equally.

In any case, I don't think sex in marriage should be based on sympathy for husbands. I think it should be based on mutual erotic attraction of the two spouses.

Empirically speaking, a high frequency of sexual relations and low frequency of partner conflicts, makes for strong marriage bonds. On the  top of this thermodynamic principle of 'human heat' comes the mutual attraction of the psyche which propels communication and common activities. The giving of material things or a bribe (as you mentioned) can never set an 'eternal fire'; on the contrary, it adds to the entropy of the marriage relationship. It is all about elective affinities as German author J.W.Goethe wrote or in Biblical terms: G-d created the world and got thereby unemployed; from there on, it is his job, to bring man and woman together.

Marriage is an institution especially built to keep the heteronormative social rule disciplined and rigorous. Sex is a stimulation which keeps the marital relation lively, healthy as well as productive. It should be between mutually willing partners and neither ''coercion'' no ''sympathy'' should play the dominant role. Now in any relation , it is often observed that one of the pairs play active role while the other plays passive. One is dominant, while other loves being submissive. There exists heterogeneous kinds of relations. Even economic stress may have severe impact on marital relation.

Maybe they originally marry out of material needs, not out of love as we usually assume. In a marriage out of love, the two parties, wife and husband, celebrate mutual contribution to their relation, sex included. My suggestion is that you can do a reexamination, and see how many percentage of marriage is out of pure love instead of the more material aspects.
