Hello,

1) You can use water to cement ratio between 0.30 to 0.40 to achieve desirable strength. However, you might need to use superplasticizer in the range of 1 to 4% to achieve desired flowability and workability of the grout.

2) Since its a pavement, the following mechanical test will give an indication of its structural capability

a) compressive strength

b) flexural and tensile strengh

c) modulus of elastic and Poisson ratio

To evaluate its fresh properties; you should carry out the following test

a) flow test using flow cone as your mixture is a grout and an efflux time less than 40 seconds will be effective

b) Setting time to determine how soon the road can be open for service

c) Bleeding and segregation to ensure there won't be any detrimental effect of settling of the sand particle and to prevent it if possible with the use viscosity modifying admixtures
