Hello everyone,

I am currently working on a research project focused on studying the mechanical effects of ultrasound waves on viral particles. My goal is to understand how ultrasound can potentially destroy viruses. I am seeking advice on the appropriate devices and setup for this experiment.

  • Device Recommendations:What kind of signal generator can produce ultrasound waves up to 25 MHz with a pressure of 0.1 MPa? Can you suggest specific models or brands that are reliable for this application?
  • Suggested Setup:I plan to use a signal generator, an amplifier, and a piezoelectric transducer to achieve the desired ultrasound frequency and pressure. Do you have any suggestions or improvements for this setup? What additional equipment might I need to measure and verify the pressure and frequency of the ultrasound waves?
  • Practical Implementation:How should I go about calibrating and testing the device to ensure accurate and consistent results? Are there any specific protocols or procedures I should follow when setting up this equipment?
  • Consultation and Collaboration:Is there a consultant or expert in ultrasound applications who would be interested in collaborating or providing guidance on this project? Any recommendations on where I can find such expertise?
    • My current plan includes using a Tektronix AFG3021B or a similar signal generator, along with a high-frequency piezoelectric transducer and an amplifier to achieve the necessary power levels.
    • I would greatly appreciate any feedback or suggestions on this setup. Have you worked on similar projects or know of any resources or suppliers where I can purchase the necessary equipment?

Thank you in advance for your help and guidance.
