A report summarizes the findings of a large COVID-19 contact-tracing program in two states in India. Daily house-to-house surveillance was used to identify individuals with symptoms, and daily follow-up was used for all contacts of laboratory-confirmed or suspect COVID-19 cases, with the aim of testing these individuals 5 to 14 days after their contact with a primary case, irrespective of symptoms. Afraa Ibrahim That's may be true for primary infection, but when we talking about secondary infection, in my opinion, we have to think about the mutagenesis and pathogenesis of the virus.

Up until now, risks and characteristics relating to secondary infections in severe COVID-19 have not been fully described. In other SARS and MERS epidemics, patients receiving invasive mechanical ventilation were easily developed secondary infections and had higher mortality. https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/22221751.2020.1812437
