As we need to apply our research results, in our last research we isolated an isolate of Rodococcus equi that produces a large amount of biosurfactant (a phospholipopeptide) with high emulsification power and stability at different pH and temperature values. We need a client (pharmaceutical, food, environmental companies or others) who are working with such emulsifier, to consider utilization of our discovery in their applications. We need support to apply our research results.
Before you look for a client, have you tested the toxicity of your isolate? What is the shelf life of your isolate? What does it contain? Make sure to give the percentage composition so that users will know what they are dealing with. Include all elements and compounds present. What applications have you tested? What is the staibility of your isolate at various temperatures that are useful for various industries, say -10 to 45 C? A fully developed emulsifier has various applications but a regimen of tests need to be performed before using it in pharmaceutical, agriculture, food, or other applications.
Thank you Dr. Zoraida. Just I need to clarify that the R. equi is the biosurfactant producing organism and it has not been recorded as a toxic bacterium. I think you meant the biosurfactant toxicity. As I mentioned before, the biosurfactant is a phospholipopeptide. It contains no foreign components. So, I think it is save. However, of course there are other analysis will be required, but this depends on the target application. So, what I need to say here is that we have a high biosurfactant producing isolate with excellent emulsification properties and stability. So, I wish if I can find a client who need to utilize the produced biosurfactant in a suitable application.
You need to test the toxicity of your new surfactant to relevant cells and cell lines before it can be used for any bio- applications.

However, can I know the possible applications in case of the bioaurfactant is not toxic, and some linkes to such applicant? On other hand, there are some applications doesn't consdier the toxicity of the biosurfant, such as petrol oil recovery and bioremediation. I wish if I can get a link with such appplicant.

Ahmed, biosurfactants which are active and can be used for both hydrophilic and hydrophobic molecules and are non-toxic can be used in the development of blockers that are useful in all life sciences studies including medicine, pharmaceutical developments, agriculture, veterinary products, food processing, cosmetics, sensors, and many more. You can target one area first which does not have tremedously expensive road to market so that you can release your products commercially with a low capital exposure.
