Develop the statements towards risk perception and judge the statements against five-point continuum starting from Strongly agree to agree, undeciced, disagree and strogly disagree with scoring of 9, 7, 5, 3 and 1 respectively.
The Likert 5-point scoring system is the most reliable method, with scores 5 to 1 indicating extremely important/strongly agree, important/agree, somewhat important/undecided, unimportant/disagree, and very unimportant/strongly disagree, respectively.@Atheequlla Ga
You may go for the Likert's five point or seven point scale. Either you can use Disagree to agree as we usually uses in our social science scales or you can go for some alternate scale categories suggested in the document I attached with this. Please have a look at it.
Note: Make sure that you prepare statements according to the scale category you are using.
