We had a provocative contribution recently which encapsulated some of the key concerns of how we currently measure the impact of our scholarship (see the link attached to this question). It also provided prompts for new directions which were both practical and more pluralistic in terms of focus.

A couple of years on, are we moving? Are we testing alternative approaches? Are we further deepening the metrics of citation?

What are your views on where, if at all, the system is changing in terms of conceptualising and measuring impact?
