While the surveillance software SatScan is widely used with the Poisson model, there are few articles on using this software with the Normal model. Specifically, how can we adjust for spatial effects when using a space-time analysis (prospective or retrospective) and the Normal model?

Has anyone here used SaTScan with the Normal model?

We are analyzing a continuous variable, and we have to use the Normal model.

Could it be that since SaTScan is mostly used with data on some disease, the main options are designated for the discrete Poisson model or the Binomial model?
