the attached map is from a 2011 review, appears to show strong correlation between selenium soil deficiency and areas hard hit by covid19. Review is available here:

Carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, and sulfur are primary constituents of proteins. Selenium is in same column of periodic table as oxygen and sulfur, has same wavefunction for outer electrons, would have a natural presence in proteins.

Thoughts on whether this is worth chasing, and if so how?
