Have anyone used low profile pcr tubes on the Roche Lightcycler 480 real-time PCR machine? If yes, did it work for you? Actually, the Roche lightcycler requires white or clear multiwell plate for optimum assay result, I do not have this plate and the supplier can only supply the plate within 8-18 weeks. I am kinda stuck.
Low Profile Tubes, has reduced space between the heated lid and the which in turn eliminates condensation on the side wall of the tube, thus prevents reduction of PCR reaction volume. Generally, use reaction volumes of 20 microliters for optimum performance. There are 8 Tube Strips for the LightCycler 96 Instrument and LightCycler 480 Instrument from Roche itself.
