In path planning using PSO algorithm, how could one choose swarm size and number of iterations? are they related to the map size?
I have map sizes: 8*8, 16*16, 32*32, 64*64, 128,128, 256*256

Can't you write a mathematical model of your problem and use an actual solver? Metaheuristics are the "last resort" when nothing else works, and they provide no guarantee on the solution you find.

Dear Eman Abdullah,
Generally its can go up to 1000 iterations for the algorithm to lead to a solution, in some applications this is enough with 200 or 300 iterations.
