How long does it take to have the (final) decision of the journal or editor after the required reviews completion? I mean the time between the status "Required Reviews Completed" to receive the decision.
I believes this varies depending on how many submissions the journal receives and how busy or efficient the editor who responsible for those papers is. Personally, sometimes I have received a response after a day or two and in other instances I waited for more than a 6 weeks.
Also refer to a paper that I have written viz. “Writing for Publication for Students and University Staff”, which speaks about the review process. The paper is freely available on ResearchGate: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/342549330_Writing_for_Publication_for_Students_and_University_Staff.
Thank you Rodney Duffett for the comment and the article !
The problem is, it's not easy to understand how busy they are. I Check the statistics of the journal and their explanation about the review speed, it is longer than normal and their explanation. There is also the effect of the pandemic on the procedure.
