Simultaneous selection for "terminal heat stress" and "soil salinity" in wheat
It needs to be studied. I know some olive varieties are tolerant against both heat stress and soil salinity but a lot of them can"t these. I suggest you performance a experiment design with different levels of salinity and also heats.
I saw my colleague studies on olive cultivars tolerant against soil different level salinity at greenhouse condition, of course by performing experiment design. They carried out seed plant instead cutting . On the other way it is possible control the heat and salinity in greenhouse simultaneously.
Though tedious but I hope it can be performed but requires time and space to reach to some conclusion.

I think simultaneous selection for tolerance to soil salinity and terminal heat can be exercised when wheat is sown late to expose it to terminal heat under a soil with an electrical conductivity exceeding 4 dS/m. The threshold EC for wheat being 6 dS/m.
