I am looking for the best approach to take on my qualitative research. My goal is to look at certain legal firms social media channels to analyse how the content they post contribute to build their brand. What type of approach can I use? Should it be labeled a content analyse research or something else?

Since there is a large amount of User Generated Contet available, a content analysis might give more insights in some areas.
Content analysis sounds about right, unless you're looking at timing or frequency etc., which could be dealt with separately. I imagine you will amass quite a lot of text. I have found concordancing tools very useful in looking across text corpora. See the Laurence Anthony software AntConc at https://www.laurenceanthony.net/software.html - it's extremely useful in analysing content and quite versatile in the way analysis can be approached.
