I would like to ask if anyone could explain or suggest good textbooks or literature regarding the Jahn–Teller effect and strain effects in quantum wells or quantum dots. My current research focuses on transition-metal doped II–VI semiconductors, especially the fine structure and spin states of transition-metal ions, as well as their interaction with excitons.
