Actually I'm working on a dispersion of calicum estearate. We have seen one problem, foam. During the preparation of the dispersion, especifically during the addition of the sterare (fine powder 30-50 µm) it starts to form foam, which is very fine foam (very small bubles, it looks like a beaten egg whites), the foam is relative abundant it makes the total volume of the dispersion increase in double.
I have also observed that after leaving the dispersion on rest (2-4 days) the foam stays and in some cases it turns in a soft-solidus layer. We already tried with some defoamers (mainly silicone-base) without good result, so far. Any recomendations?
