I am working on a Ph.D. thesis entitled "The Impact of exchange rate liberalization on Inflation and Unemployment: is a comparative study". The last section of the dissertation was divided into the analysis of empirical models of the impact of exchange rate liberalization on inflation and unemployment. I am having difficulty choosing the countries that represent the research problem accurately, so I ask you to help nominate four models, two famous ones, the liberalization of the exchange rate succeeded in reducing inflation and unemployment rates, and two other models, the liberalization of the exchange rate did not succeed in reducing inflation and unemployment rates.
Criteria for nominations:
Clarity: The liberalization of the exchange rate should be a specific and time-determinable event.
Availability: There should be sufficient data on inflation and unemployment before the exchange rate is liberalized.
Relevant: the selected countries should be from different economic circles (e.g. developed and emerging countries).
Intervention: countries should represent a diversity of economic conditions (such as the size of the economy, the composition of exports and imports, and the exchange rate program before liberalization).
Thank you for your contribution to this research.
