can someone suggest how to perform a real simulation for the pump load with a dc-generator? we have to build an experimental but we do not want to use a real pump and we are thinking to use a generator to present the pump load curve (load is proportional to speed square*K)

I guess it will be cheaper, more accurate, and easier to use a real properly selected pump type. You may read the following chapter that provide detailed information of various pumps types used for liquids including water. The question is i do not want to use a real pump, i have an induction motor directly coupled with dc generator. I need to increase the generator load proportional to its shaft speed in a quadratic relation.
Previously, we build a whole miniature standalone irrigation water pumping system supplied from solar-PV source. The solar-PV module is directly coupled to a compound DC motor, and they are matched together by the sizing (not via controllers). Submerged pump is selected to this experiment.
Still the question is alive, we do not want to use a real pump but presenting it using the dc-generator with somehow to present the pump load characteristics. This means how to control the dc generator load to be increased smoothly in a quadratic relation with its shaft speed.
