Hi Maryam,

the f-factor for packed columns is defined as follows:

f = w_o_Gas* Sqrt(Rho_Gas)

with

w_o_Gas: superficial gas (= vapour) velocity in the packing [m/s]

Rho_Gas: Density of the gas (= vapour) phase [kg/m^3]

Sqrt(): Square root
