"Why not Darwin and Wallace together?"

In my opinion, in present days, Alfred Russel Wallace should be recognized as important as Darwin concerning with the evolution theory. The primary reason is that the first manuscript about this subject was written by both researchers and a letter including both authors was read in the academy of sciences.

Moreover, Darwin had been waiting for about 20 years before publishing the famous theory, and, for me, certainly he had many doubts about that, most probably, were solved at last by Wallace, for Darwin decided to publish only after receiving Wallace's manuscript. Of course, he was encouraged by his pairs but, for sure, also by Wallace ideas.

Then, next year, Darwin published alone his famous book after the origin of species, and his name was gradually shinning more and more. On the other hand, Wallace was almost forgotten. It is important to notice that Darwin was a traditional religious rich man with many influent friends, while Wallace, in the contrary, was a spiritualist (considered very odd at that time). Besides, Wallace certainly hadn't so many powerful or influent friends.

Now I ask my coleagues: don't you think this subject about who are the authors of this so important theory should be seriously reviewed by modern scientific staffs nowadays?

At least, for long, the Britsh Empire isn't the center of the world anymore.
