Production of Electricity (Thermal power/ Atomic power etc.) create many dangerous elements.
The Plastic industries cause depletion of huge amount of water resources during production and dangerous environmental pollution after their use.
The producers keep all responsibilities on the consumers in most of the cases.
Do you think actually the producers having the sole responsibility as all he is doing for business?
I think sole responsibility lies with producer and then enforcement agencies who allow illegal dumping of waste products into fresh water rivers and this leads to pollution.Off course, government is supposed to encourage producers to go for green initiatives by way of providing ample subsidies so as to enable them.for production at competitive prices.Money wise this option will be costly but environmental friendly activity will be rewarding all of living beings over a sustainable way.

EIA initiatives maintained by governments are to monitor and ban all unscrupulous activities by producers in harming the rich biodiversity in our environments. It is sad that the intensification of pollution and breach of the EIA initiatives are as a result of corruption and bribe often taken by environmental agencies and officials! Also, societal members are equally left unattended as they engage in this folly. The causes are not only from producers but also government officials and individuals in the society.
The solution is maintaining stringent enforcement of EIA standards for production companies and individuals in the country. Also, culprits of environmental malfeasance must be punished to serve as deterrent for others in following their selfish and inhumane lifestyles!
The bane of corruption and bribery must be erased from our societies to save mother earth, the most abused mother of all mothers !

But I think the governments must take the larger blame for recycling of their products.
Also, protection of the environment is everyone's responsibility.

The lack of awareness among some workers in the industrial field of environmental awareness and culture is the main cause of environmental pollution from industrial waste. Therefore, the responsibility can not be limited to the producer, but all relevant employees contribute.
The producers is the main liable, also regulatory organizations that make illegal dumping of industrial wastes into rivers permitted, disregarding the shortage of fresh drinking water for the sake of the water purification companies profit. I think this is a terrifying subject need urgent applicable solution.

Until and unless strong agencies take enforcement of law strictly, at least it seems difficult in India to achieve with less pollution and safe health.However i am not able to comment upon fate of other countries. But one thing is sure that kick backs do exist every where but there rampant existence at low levels is more prominent in developing countries as compared to developed countries.

But unfortunately in a high percentage it is not like that.

The regulating body( Govt.) of manufacturing industries should furnish stringent legal frame works or policies to monitor the manufacturers activities and should levy severe reforms if violated.
For sustainability to work and reduce pollution on a large scale , rests in the hands of corporates . Consumers can and should , it is a systemic issue , not producer versus consumer balance.
E.g: Plastic is a menace was it known or consumers lavishly used it !!
So moral of the story , each one of us is accountable for reduction and greener environment .

My answer is no. Generally, the consumers of a bad product share higher responsibilities in comparison with the producers. There might be complains from the pollutions resulting from the production of a product;however, more complains would arise from the absent of that product. The solution of this conflict includes collaboration between all parties. For example, reducing the consumptions and support the development/developers.
