I am trying to find "the" correct name for this Styrax sp., I have searched 4 (in my opinion) serious botanical web-sources:
1) www.ThePlantList.org
2) www.catalogueoflife.org
3) www.plantsoftheworldonline.org
4) www.efloras.org/flora_page.aspx?flora_id=2 (Flora of China)
They all agree, "Styrax japonicus" is only accepted spelling.
Then i try do do a searct in PubMed (www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/) for "Styrax japonicus" the result is "No documents match your search terms".
I then try to enter the search term, (that is not accepted by botanical sources)
"Styrax japonica" and get 35 results.
Please could anyone explain
